Natalie Santos
Susquehanna University
Fall 2021

Natalie is a rising senior with a double major in Biomedical Sciences and Spanish from Susquehanna University. As a first-generation Latina raised in the United States, she would love nothing more than to carry my family traditions and culture, including a key component: the language. Natalie says “Getting the chance to live several months within a Spanish society will solidify my journey in becoming a fluent Spanish speaker. I look forward to taking advantage of this opportunity and fully immersing into the experience, making lifetime memories along the way!”

John Aligata
Plymouth State University
Fall 2021

John is a Computer Science major from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. John says “I chose to study abroad with Barcelona SAE because I like how Barcelona SAE provides a bucket list for things to do in Barcelona, and throughout the semester they bring you on group excursions and host fun activities. I am most excited to explore all that the city has to offer, and to eat the local cuisine.”

Summer 2021

Jordan is a senior from Missouri State University, majoring in Administrative Management. Jordan is super excited to virtually gain valuable work experience in Barcelona and learn about the culture of the company he’s interning at. Jordan says “I chose Barcelona SAE because of the great reviews and what I’ve heard from my friends that also went with this program.”

Summer 2021

Sophie is aPsychology major from the University of California, Riverside. She looks forward to her internship opportunity where I will be working with special needs individuals and learning about the benefits of music therapy. Sophie says “I chose Barcelona SAE for its many internship opportunities across all majors and for its longstanding affiliation with my university.”

Kendra studies International Business/International Studies at New Mexico State University, known for its beautiful mountain ranges and hot green chile. “If I had to choose, I think I am most excited for really living the Spanish culture and traveling! I chose Barcelona SAE because it was the best program I found that perfectly aligned with my educational and future career goals.”

Dominic is a Business Management Major at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is excited to engage in a new culture that has Spanish and Catalan values while exploring the great city of Barcelona. Dominic chose to study abroad through Barcelona SAE “because it is a city that represents cultures of many different backgrounds and has something to offer for everyone.”

Trevaleyus is a Junior Communication Major at Albion College and is looking forward to experiencing Barcelona architecture in person. “I chose Barcelona SAE because they offer courses in English and provide small class sizes. I’m most excited about the day trips and weekend excursions because I get to experience more of Barcelona and more of Spain.”

Lazlo van Straelen
Guilford College
Spring 2020

Lazlo is a Sport Management major from Guilford College. He’s excited to study and intern abroad in Barcelona because he wants to improve his Spanish while also being able to gain valuable work experience through his internship. Soccer (football) is one of the most important things in his life, so he wants to improve his soccer ability by playing with a local team, as well as experience the soccer culture of one of the biggest soccer cities in Europe.

Zoe is majoring in International Studies with a minor in Spanish at the University of Nebraska – Omaha and is excited to experience the culture in Barcelona. Zoe chose to study abroad through Barcelona SAE “because it was specific to the city and has plenty of cultural activities that will help make sure I never experience a moment of boredom during my time abroad!”

Jesus is a Senior Psychology Major with a focus in Occupational Therapy and a Minor in Sociology at Carthage College in Wisconsin. Jesus is very excited to both study abroad and participate in an internship through Barcelona SAE as he’s really looking forward to checking out the amazing architecture experiencing a new culture for a semester.

Donovan Gayles

Donovan is a Junior at Susquehanna University and is a double major in Political Science/Public Policy with a minor in Economics.
