NEW STUDENT & FAMILY ORIENTATIONS
Thursday, May 4th @ 1:00pm ET
Each summer, study abroad professionals across the country participate in their institution’s new student and family orientations. For many students and their families, this may be their first introduction to the concept of study abroad, and the international opportunities and resources available to them. This presents a unique challenge for study abroad offices: How do we distill information about a variety of programs, scholarships, application processes, etc. into a succinct and engaging format? How do we ensure our values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access are front-and-center during these critical first impressions?
SCHOLARSHIP ADVISING & PROCESSES
Thursday, June 15th @ 1:00pm ET
Widening financial access to study abroad through internal and external scholarships is a strategic tool for many study abroad office’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) commitments. But how do we not only set DEI-focused intentions and goals for the scholarships we may manage or advise for, but also create application and review processes that are accessible and equitable? Join Barcelona SAE’s TODOS Sounding Board for an engaging co-working session on this popular and necessary summer project.
